This year has been an incredibly busy one for the Smithy Heritage Centre. Although the doors are now shut for the winter, we’re still beavering away behind the scenes working on next year’s events and exhibitions.
There will be a special exhibition of vintage Valentine’s cards in February, to complement our first event of the year – a murder mystery night on Valentine’s Day, Saturday 14th February. Tickets will go on sale later this year – we’ll keep you posted.
We will then open at Easter 2015, Saturday 4th April, for our usual opening hours, weekends 1-4pm. The exhibition for 2015 will be “Man’s Best Friend”, a fun and fascinating look at the history of dogs as pets, working animals, and gods.
