Objects of Desire – Online Exhibition

The Smithy was due to open at Easter, but has had to remain closed for the foreseeable future while we’re on lockdown.

Our exhibition this year, Objects of Desire, looks at the different things people collect and their reasons for doing so. As we can’t share this with you yet, you can “visit” us online and view the exhibition by clicking on the image below. A virtual rendering of the space will load and then you can click and drag your way around the displays and learn more about the objects by hovering over the little target symbols!

We would also like to invite you to share your collections with us so we can add to an extra online exhibition we can all enjoy from the safety and comfort of home! We would love to hear what you collect and why – please get in touch with your story and some photos of your collection for us to share online. You can even remain anonymous if you so wish.
